Ducati Island 2007 at Laguna Seca Raceway was electrifying. The action was non-stop—from watching the races on the big screen cheering on a dominant Casey Stoner to casting your people's choice vote in the highly competitive Superbike Concorso to the fashion shows which seemed to make the rest of Laguna Seca stand still—the engery of the crowd was unbelievable.
The autograph signing by Champion Stoner caused the formation of a line that the Island could not contain and, for Ducati owners, free water and refreshments were heaven sent as water prices at the dry California lake bed skyrocketed. When just riding a Ducati is enough to set your soul free, it's things like Ducati Island that make you believe you must be in motorcycling heaven.
As a camera lense cannot truly capture all the passion on the Island last year, the photos below are only a taste of what it actually feels like to be there. The photos were taken by Ducatista Extraordinaire Vicki Smith and more can be found on her site
here. You can read about her Ducati travels and her photo stories make you feel like you're really there!
